Weeping women around nude female

This painting, by Mahoud Ahmad, centers on a nude female lying in the foreground with her back to the viewer. A stern-looking woman wearing a full head covering draws a blue marking upon the nude figure’s lower back while a group of women, of various sizes, encircle the event wearing expressions of distress. The composition is brought together through the repetitive use of the pale flesh tones and circular patterns seen in the women’s faces.
