Waterscape with three boats

In this painterly composition, by Ibraheem Alabdali, three boats sit atop the calm surface of a non-descript body of water. The empty seats within the boat and their lackadaisical organization, as one boat is perched under another, calls attention to the absence of human use. Yet, this lack of human presence does not seem foreboding; but merely highlights the stillness of the tranquil forms.
