Description
This composition, by Shakir Hassan Al Said, is split diagonally down the center. This jagged fracture in the surface of the picture plane is mimicked in the violent application of material that drips, fades, and smears. Colors are layered haphazardly on top of one another in a chaotic milieu. Throughout the spread of mixed blues, reds, browns are various line configurations, some resembling script while others are mere patterned drawings.
