Title not known (Al Nasiri 2)

Multilayered composition mixing red and black with tan

Simplistically speaking this composition is made up of three layers that are rendered quite differently. The upper half of the picture plane is dominated by an alternating stratification of black and red that sits within a three-quarter black border. This border rests on a thin rectangular block of grayish brown that separates the upper from the lower portion. In this lower portion, three deep groves gouge into the sandy tan surface insinuating figure prints.
