Village scene with streams and overturned tree

Again Abbosh has presented the viewer with a scene of quiet village life as women come and go besides a stream of still water. A large tree with flourishing foliage dominates the left half of the canvas while the bare branches of an overturned tree stretch across the right side. The painterly quality of the scene gives a more intimate impression as it mimics the feeling of being in a tranquil setting.
