Subject
Abstracted Composition with Bird’s Nest
Description
Again Al-Basri presents a composition that is difficult to interpret conclusively. One could speculate that the central compositional form is a bird’s nest with its half moon shape and feather-like construction. Yet, the remainder of the composition seems to lie beyond simple identification. The scattering of primary colors among the overall neutral tonality of the piece is also an enigmatic element of this work. Al-Basri has thus created his own visual language to convey his message.
