Nude figure asleep on bed

In this painting, by Mahoud Ahmad, a nude female figure sleeps atop a four-post bed rendered in vibrant gold. The woman shares the same bluish marking bisecting her outer thigh as many of Ahmad’s other sleeping women and she lays on a decorated quilt blanket. On the floor near the bed sit a pair of slippers. The light source, coming from the lower right hand corner, casts long shadows onto the walls surrounding the bed.
