The entirety of this composition, by Shakir Hassan Al Said, is made up of several black smears jutting into the picture plane from all four sides and a horizontal crack that begins split, then converges only to be split again on the opposite side of the canvas. Towards the bottom right of the composition the numbers 5,7, and 40 appear oriented around a circle with a fourth marking.
