The ethereal nature of this composition by Rajeha al-Quidsi is created through the use of light brushstrokes and a delicate, hazing color palette. The female figure looks out towards the viewer with large, penetrating eyes and is adorned with a complex head covering of triangular patterns. A small bird accompanies the woman almost merging into her garment’s decoration while a sizable white dove, perched to the left of the main figure, stands out against a void background.
