The composition of this work draws from a composite aesthetic in that independent components are juxtaposed to create a cohesive scene. These components are set on a beige backdrop that acts as negative space. Within the positive space three women engage in leisurely domestic activity. A vignette with a coffee pot and watermelon sits at the foreground of the composition while a cityscape recedes into the distance of the background.
